SICI Partnership Seed Grant in Aid (SPSG in Aid) Program 2024 Application deadline extended Shastri Indo Canadian Institute (SICI) is pleased to invite applications from Canadian universities and other Canadian organizations including provincial and territorial governments to take benefit of its SPSG in Aid program, which provides partial matching financial contribution as well as logistical support for partner organizations’ programs and activities. Eligible partner organizations include all the current SICI member institutions, other educational institutions in Canada, provincial and territorial governments in Canada, as well as private or public companies operating in Canada.The purpose of SPSG in Aid program is to support furthering bilateral exchanges, institutional linkages, as well as areas traditionally supported by SICI, including research and other academic collaborations between Canadian and Indian Institutions.
SPSG in Aid funds may be used to support bi-national seminars, conferences, workshops, meetings, scholarly discussions, planning meetings, student visits, faculty visits, delegation visits between India-Canada, etc., that initiate or further institutional linkages and academic mobility between India and Canada.

Eligibility for SICI Doctoral Fellowship 2024
- Eligibility is restricted to citizens and permanent residents of Canada who are a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Students must be registered in a Graduate program.
- Canadian citizens enrolled in Graduate programs outside Canada are eligible for student Doctoral Fellowships.
- Applicants who have accepted an India Studies Doctoral Fellowship award from the Shastri Institute may not apply for a further India Studies Research Fellowship for consecutive three years.

SICI Doctoral Scholarship Description :
- Doctoral Student Research Fellowships are for a minimum of three to a maximum of twelve months.
- Shastri Indo Canadian Institute Doctoral Fellowship awards are made for the April, 2024 March, 2024 period.
- However, Doctoral Fellows cannot travel to India before the Government of India grants its approval and releases the necessary funds.
